Ptp layer error 02ff

I posted an issue on the libmtp github page but am crossposting it here for more visibility. I have the latest code that I built from source, but I am seeing the same issue in previous versions as well. I get the errors below when using mtp-detect. I get similar error messages when using the other mtp tools as well. I've tried to dig in to see what is causing this error, but I've been able to find very little to point me in the right direction. Any assistance anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated!

NOTE: I think this is probably so low priority it may never make sense to fix, but I wanted to document it in case others are stumbling across this and to ensure a web search leads those users somewhere. When a specific low-quality, proprietary tablet device is connected to my computer, Nemo rarely opens. Nemo usually times out, but it occasionally opens after a multi-minute delay. Also, disconnecting the low-quality hardware resolves the issue. I'm guessing that Nemo is blocked attempting to fetch the "friendly device name" in the logs below. Architecture: amd64 Nemo: Installed: 4. Same here. Plus nemo grabs the keyboard access for its own exclusive use.

Hey all, I am very new to arch linux but not so new to linux at all. Tried to set up mtp working together with my smartphone but somehow it does not work after a long time of trying. I read several articles about connecting it to my PC but none of them worked for me jmtpfs, simple-mtpfs, gmtp, go-mtpfs, gvfs-mtp. I am always getting an error which I cannot do anything with.
